Hi, I’m laticia!

I’m Laticia (she/her) and the owner and therapist of Aspire Therapy and Training, a psychotherapy practice. My mission in starting Aspire Therapy and Training was to provide high-quality, affordable, therapeutic care for the community. I specialize in helping you to manage stress and anxiety and heal from traumatic experiences.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over a decade of experience working in both inpatient and outpatient mental health settings. I’ve worked with a wide variety of people from all walks of life. I have specialized training in providing EMDR, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Brainspotting, Gottman Therapy (couples/relationship), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I would be happy to talk further with you about which type of therapy might be the best fit for you and your treatment goals.

I am currently only providing therapy via telehealth and am licensed to provide services in the states of Missouri, Colorado, Vermont, Maine, South Carolina, and Florida.

My goal when working with you is to create a space for you to safely explore your own thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and experiences. Sometimes this involves recognizing and changing patterns of thoughts or behaviors that used to work for you, but no longer do. Other times it involves acknowledging past painful experiences, healing the injuries those experiences left behind, and learning to live with the scars in a healthy way. Every person who comes to therapy brings their own unique experiences and has their own unique path forward. As such, I take an individualized approach in meeting you where you are and supporting you as you take the next steps on your journey.

More about Me:

While I am a therapist, I’m also a normal person existing in the same world as you. I have my own experiences with mental health, trauma, family issues, parenting, and dealing with the stresses of life. Your sessions are wholly about you and your experiences, but I do bring a lens of self-awareness that we all have much more in common than what sets us apart. As such, therapy with me is a judgment-free zone that allows you the space and compassion to talk about the hard topics and show up in an authentic and vulnerable way. It’s only when we find a space like this that we are truly able to step outside of our comfort zone, face our own truths, and grow into the best version of ourselves.

In my life outside of being a therapist, I enjoy reading, gardening, baking, getting out in nature, and occasionally coping with life through watching admittedly terrible reality tv shows (hey, judgment-free zone!).
